Volume began in 2010 as a blog and gallery dedicated to emerging artists and their working methods. In 2015, the project evolved into an ongoing Q&A series centered on studio visits and conversations with artists. Through these interviews, Volume offers a closer look at individual studio practices, creative processes, influences, and the ideas that shape an artist’s work.

In 2027, Volume will publish a book documenting the first ten years of its artist interviews, bringing together a selection of conversations and images from the series. The publication will serve both as an archive of the project and as a record of the artists, practices, and ideas featured during Volume’s first decade as an interview series.
